H\u00e4ufig besteht die Meinung, viel D\u00fcnger n\u00fctze viel. Dem ist nicht<br \/>\n so. Gerade beim D\u00fcnger gilt die Regel: Weniger ist mehr. Entscheidend<br \/>\nist dar\u00fcber hinaus der richtige Zeitpunkt des D\u00fcngens. Pflanzen, die \u00fcberwintern, sollten nicht mehr ged\u00fcngt werden, denn auch f\u00fcr Gartenpflanzen beginnt nun eine Art Winterruhe. D\u00fcngen vor der kalten Jahreszeit w\u00fcrde zu einem nicht gew\u00fcnschten Wachsstumsschub f\u00fchren; die Pflanze w\u00fcrde m\u00f6glicherweise sogar<br \/>\n neue Triebe oder Knospen bilden. Pflanzen w\u00fcrden verholzen und<br \/>\nfrostempfindlich werden. Sinn der nat\u00fcrlichen Winterruhe ist es, dass<br \/>\nsich alle Pflanzens\u00e4fte in den Wurzelbereich zur\u00fcckziehen k\u00f6nnen, um im Fr\u00fchjahr dann wieder erneut aufzusteigen.<br \/>Dies gilt f\u00fcr Rosen wie auch f\u00fcr Zierstr\u00e4ucher, Stauden oder B\u00e4ume. Alle sie werden erst wieder im Fr\u00fchjahr mit einer D\u00fcngergabe versehen. W\u00e4hrend der gesamten Winterruhe von rund vier Monaten wird nicht ged\u00fcngt und nur ganz m\u00e4\u00dfig gegossen. W\u00e4hrend<br \/>\n dieser Zeit sind die Pflanzen eigentlich gar nicht in der Lage,<br \/>\nirgendwelche N\u00e4hrstoffe aufzunehmen. Ihr Stoffwechsel ist auf das absolute Minimum beschr\u00e4nkt. Wenig Sonne und niedrige Temperaturen schw\u00e4chen die Pflanzen. D\u00fcnger, die fast immer Salze enthalten w\u00fcrden nicht aufgenommen, sondern sogar schaden, denn es w\u00fcrde die Pflanze sozusagen \u00fcbers\u00e4ttigen. Der Rest der N\u00e4hrstoffe w\u00fcrde ungenutzt \u00fcber den Boden ausgesp\u00fclt, versickern und teilweise sogar bis ins Grundwasser gelangen.
