Manchmal ist der Topf zu klein geworden (die Wurzel w\u00e4chst heraus), ein anderes Mal muss die ausgelaugte, muffige Erde erneuert werden, ein anderes Mal ist m\u00f6glicherweise ein Sch\u00e4dlingsbefall eingetreten. Idealer Umtopfzeitpunkt ist fast f\u00fcr alle Pflanzen der Fr\u00fchling. Versierte Hobbyg\u00e4rtner planen ihre Umtopfaktionen und gie\u00dfen die umzusetzende Pflanze bereits am Vortag ausgiebig, denn so kann man den Wurzelballen leichter als dem alten Topf l\u00f6sen. Ben\u00f6tigt werden ferner neue Erde, Substrat oder Tonk\u00fcgelchen als Bl\u00e4hton bei gew\u00fcnschter Hydrokultur. Des Weiteren Folie oder Zeitung zum Unterlegen, eine Tonscherbe oder einen Stein f\u00fcr den Topfboden sowie eine scharfe, saubere Gartenschere.<\/p>\n<p>Um eine Pflanze aus dem Topf&nbsp; zu nehmen h\u00e4lt man sie leicht \u00fcber Kopf, wobei eine Hand die Pflanze direkt \u00fcber der Erde greift und die andere sanft auf den Topfboden klopft. Hierbei kann man die Pflanze zus\u00e4tzlich sanft drehen. Nur selten lassen sich Pflanzen \u00fcberhaupt nicht herausl\u00f6sen. Tont\u00f6pfe m\u00fcssen dann zerschlagen oder Plastikt\u00f6pfe aufgeschnitten werden. Sodann wird die alte Erde von der Wurzel entfernt und abgestorbene Wurzelteile mittels der Schere abgeschnitten. Sollten die Wurzeln extrem lang geworden sind, darf gek\u00fcrzt werden. Sehr trockene Wurzelballen d\u00fcrfen kurz durch Eintauchen gew\u00e4ssert werden.<\/p>\n<p>Der neue Blumentopf wird wie folgt gef\u00fcllt: Zuerst kommt die Tonscherbe auf das Drainageloch, es folgt Bl\u00e4hton oder Kies als Draingeschicht, danach Humuserde. Man setze die Pflanze in die Topfmitte, f\u00fclle rundum mit Erde auf und dr\u00fccke sanft an. Falls Hohlr\u00e4ume bleiben, kann sich F\u00e4ulnis bilden. Am oberen Topfrand wird ein Zentimeter Platz gelassen. Gut gie\u00dfen nicht vergessen!
