passion fruit
The passion fruit is a fruit that suits the genus of passion flowers, which produces both edible and inedible fruits. The home of the edible passion fruit are the climatically temperate regions of south america, where passion flowers grow in the higher mountains, where they find a particular striking climate. Even before the fruits have been formed, the passion flowers take on a conspicuous, outer shape, which is mainly due to the violet and filamentous flowers. The fruits themselves can be taken on an oval shape, the area of use of the edible variant is particularly large. Passion fruit is especially popular as a source of vitamin-rich juice, which is still largely produced in native countries as Brazil or Argentina and exported to Europe. The fruit has a high content of vitamin C and some, natural sugar forms, so that in this country, on application as ice cream or sorbet is popular. The seeds of the passion fruit, however, can be processed into an aromatic oil, which is distributed in Germany, for example, as a fragrance and wellness oil. Ingredients such as oleic acid and linoleic acid provide the distinctive scent, which is perceived by most people as a pleasant and has a stimulating effect as a classic fragrance oil.
