sisal S like salt glaze The term sisal stands for a variety of agaves, which are thus generally referred to as sisal agaves. Most of the species are native to Africa and are cultivated there exclusively. The harvesting and production of sisal threads and fabrics has become a notable economic factor, especially in South African countries. The extraction of sisal and its use as diverse commodities based on plant fibers is a relatively recent development compared to other plant fibers. Targeted cultivation of sisal agave has been considered to be very robust and even hard-to-maintain in large quantities. Sisal is currently used in the production of ropes and ropes of all sorts and in the manufacture of modern dartboards, but the material has therefore become part of modern floristry. Sisal is most commonly used in the manufacture of flower cuffs, where the fabric has a loose and transparent structure. Different, decorative bases and cuffs made of sisal can also be found on floristik21.de.
