pinecone
Pine cones are the fruits of the pine, pinus pinea in Latin, which are among the largest conifers worldwide and are therefore used in the natural decoration area. The individual seed chambers are large and dome-shaped. Pine cones have a small and oval shape compared to pine cones and other fruits of conifers. The production of seeds and thus also of pine cones does not start until after a period of nearly two decades, since the pine is relatively unpretentious in its cultivation, pin pines can win in a simple way. The large-scale cultivation of pine trees is mainly in Spain, Italy and other Mediterranean countries, a cultivation in central or northern Europe is not possible due to the cold winter temperatures. Of industrial interest is primarily the wood of the pine, pine cones therefore represent rather a waste product of this breeding and production. They are often processed in wreaths and arrangements and are therefore popular with all decorating friends who want to use cones of coniferous trees for a natural room decoration.
