The Horticultural Show is an exhibition of florists, gardeners and other professional groups around the field of horticulture, which is held in the Federal Republic at regular intervals and allows a presentation of floristic and botanical breeding of a single state. Compared to the Federal Horticultural Show, where exhibitors come together every two years centrally in a specific city in Germany, the State Garden Show is independently organized and organized by each federal state. The organization and structure of the two garden shows does not differ, at a state garden show there is only a greater chance for smaller gardeners or florists to present themselves to interested visitors of the state with their own products and creations. Since a state garden show not only has breeders as a target group, but also wants to attract private visitors through artfully designed landscapes, this event has been able to develop over decades into one of the most important events of each state. Unlike the Federal Garden Show, the orientation of the garden shows of individual federal states does not follow a specific cycle, so that, depending on interest and costs, no exhibition of this kind will be held for many years. Current state garden shows in the years 2012 and 2013 can be discovered in Bamberg, Nordhausen or Prenzlau, for example, while other federal states will have to wait a few more years until the next event.
