Goldenrod
The goldenrod is a species-rich, flowering plant that can be found around the globe. The goldenrod gets its name from the bright yellow character of its flowers, which grow up in small and numerous flowers from the herbaceous plant and give it a special, optical character, which is hardly offered in this form by Central European plants. Although some species of goldenrod can be found only in Europe and Asia, the majority of this flower species is native to the wilderness of North America, however, by targeted breeding long ago also in Europe in innumerable facets to acquire. For ecology in North America, and to a lesser extent also in Europe, goldenrod are of particular importance as they serve as fodder plants for various insects. In addition, goldenrod are a very popular and colorful choice among allergy sufferers, as the heavy pollen of the plant can not freely distribute in the air and thus trigger no hay fever.
