candles
Bar candles, often also called crown candles, are among the slenderest and longest candle variants that are used today as they were centuries ago, especially on festive occasions. Their nickname crown candles have been obtained by their popular use in chandeliers, which were operated over time exclusively with real candle light. When using the candles, it was important in this case to bring about the longest possible burning time and a small excess of wax, otherwise the candles would accidentally drip from the ceiling to the floor. Bar candles meet these requirements in the best possible way and are therefore still in ceiling chandeliers as well as in standing variants their use. Like most other candle models, candle sticks are no longer made from beeswax in the 21st century, instead the candle industry relies on the cheaper paraffin, which can also achieve a longer burn time. Bar candles are offered in a variety of colors by retailers, but the colors red and white dominate here. In addition to the noble design of candlesticks, bar candles are closely linked to the Christian tradition and can be found as altar jewelry or along the corridors of churches as a popular candle variant. As well as Christianity in Judaism multi-arm candlesticks have a high, symbolic significance, rod candles are still in demand, as they correspond to the dimensions of modern candlesticks.
